We at Megapesca wish to make this website more than just
an advertisement for our services. It is our policy to disseminate as much
information as we can about our work experience in the fisheries area,
in the hope of assisting the development process. To this end we are placing
the following documents for general interest.
There is a review of some current issues in
fisheries development. This includes resource
management, post-harvest losses,
utilisation of small pelagic fish, and
fish trade development and product quality.
We have recently completed a project dealing with fisheries
development opportunities in Latvia. This link provides a profile of
the Latvian fishery sector and the export potential.
We have also just completed a study of the problems facing
the nile perch industry on Lake Victoria,
and the challenges facing producers in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. This
page provides lots of previously unpublished data on export trends from
the region.
